Every cabinet SJ Ball supplies is made to your exact measurements. That means millimetre-accurate sizing on every unit — not the nearest standard size, not a filler panel to cover the gap, not a workaround. The cabinet fits the space because it was made for the space.

And because we offer bespoke sizing as standard — not as a premium upgrade — it doesn’t cost any more than ordering off-the-shelf.

Why Most Kitchens Need at Least One Bespoke Unit

Very few kitchens are perfectly rectangular with standard ceiling heights and no obstructions. In practice, most kitchens have at least one awkward dimension — a wall that’s slightly out of square, a boiler cupboard that takes up an odd amount of space, a window that sits lower than expected, or a run of units that ends 60mm short of the wall.

When you order from a supplier who only offers standard sizes, those awkward dimensions get dealt with using filler panels, end panels, and workarounds that are visible to anyone who looks closely. When every cabinet is made to your exact measurements, those problems don’t exist.

We’ve supplied kitchens for spaces that other suppliers said couldn’t be done in standard sizes — low-ceiling cottages, galley kitchens in Victorian terraces, L-shaped rooms with chimney breasts, and open-plan spaces where the run of units needs to finish at a very specific point to align with a structural wall.

How the Process Works

You don’t need to be a designer or know exactly what you want before you get in touch. The process starts with your measurements — a rough sketch of the room with dimensions is enough to get started.

From there, we’ll design the layout, suggest door styles that suit the space, and send you a full itemised quote within 24 hours. If you want to make changes — swap a drawer unit for a cupboard, adjust a height, change the door style — we do that before the order is placed, not after.

Once you’re happy with the design and the quote, we confirm the order and your kitchen is built and delivered in 10 working days.

What’s Included as Standard

Every made-to-measure kitchen we supply includes rigid-built carcasses in 18mm Egger or Kronospan board, Blum soft-close hinges, Blum Antaro drawer boxes, fully adjustable legs on base units, concealed wall-hanging brackets on wall units, and 0.8mm ABS edging throughout.

Blum hardware carries a lifetime guarantee — which means your kitchen will still be opening and closing smoothly in 20 years’ time. This isn’t an optional extra. It’s standard on every order.

Doors, handles, plinths, and cornice can all be included in the same order, delivered on the same day.
