I get asked this a lot, and the answer is straightforward. Flat-pack kitchens might look cheaper on paper, but once you factor in the real costs, rigid-built wins every time — especially for contract work.

Flat-pack requires assembly on site. That means paying someone to build every cabinet before it can be fitted. On a multi-unit project, that adds up fast — both in labour cost and time on site.

Joints can loosen over time. Cam locks and dowels are fine for a showroom, but in a rental property or student flat where kitchens take a daily beating, they don’t hold up. Doors start dropping, drawers go out of alignment, and you’re back to square one.

Rigid-built arrives ready to fit. Every cabinet comes fully assembled — your fitter just needs to fix it to the wall and hang the doors. Faster installation, less time on site, fewer problems down the line.
