Stoke-on-Trent — the city of six towns — has a housing stock shaped by its pottery industry heritage. The Victorian and Edwardian terraces of Burslem, Hanley, and Longton line the streets around the historic pottery works, while the suburbs of Trentham, Penkhull, and Hartshill offer more spacious interwar and post-war family homes. Nearby Newcastle-under-Lyme adds Georgian townhouses and leafy Victorian streets to the mix, and modern new-build estates are expanding on the city’s outskirts.
SJB Trade Kitchens supplies rigid kitchen units direct to homeowners and tradespeople across Stoke-on-Trent and the Potteries. Stoke is just over an hour from our Oldham showroom via the M6, making it one of our most accessible Midlands delivery areas. The city’s stock of terraced housing and period properties is well suited to our made-to-order rigid units, which can be built to non-standard dimensions at no extra charge. We supply at prices 30–50% cheaper than Howdens, with 18mm backs and Blum hardware as standard.
We supply rigid-built kitchen cabinets made to your exact measurements, with over 100 door styles to choose from. Every order comes with a free design service, a detailed quote within 24 hours, and delivery in as little as 10 working days. For more detail on our cabinet construction, see our trade kitchen cabinet manufacturer page. You can also browse our full rigid kitchen units hub page for more information.

Every kitchen we supply is built around rigid-construction carcasses, made from 18mm Egger or Kronospan board with cam and dowel assembly. These are fully assembled cabinets — not flat-pack. They arrive ready to install, which makes the fitter’s job faster and easier, and means there’s no risk of a cabinet being assembled incorrectly on site.
One of the things that sets us apart from the big-box retailers is our 18mm backs — not hardboard. Most budget kitchen suppliers use thin hardboard backs to cut costs. Every cabinet we supply has a solid 18mm back, giving the carcass genuine structural rigidity and a far longer lifespan.
All cabinets come fitted with Blum soft-close hinges and Blum Antaro drawer systems as standard. Blum is the gold standard in kitchen hardware — their hinges and drawers carry a lifetime guarantee. This isn’t an upgrade or an optional extra. It comes as standard on every cabinet we supply. If you want to go further, we also offer dovetail solid oak drawer boxes as a premium upgrade.
Doors are available in over 100 styles — gloss, matt, shaker, handleless, painted and more — all made to your exact measurements. If your kitchen has an awkward alcove, a sloping ceiling, or a non-standard dimension, we can accommodate it. Every cabinet is made to the millimetre, not to the nearest standard size.

Our showroom is in Oldham, Greater Manchester — Unit N, Central Trading Estate, Coulton Close, OL1 4EB — but we supply customers right across the UK, including Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stone, Stafford, Leek, Burslem, Hanley, and across the Potteries. Stoke-on-Trent is around 1 hour 15 minutes from our Oldham showroom via the M6, and we deliver to Staffordshire regularly.
Everything is carefully packaged and delivered directly to your door. The geography doesn’t matter — you get the same personal service, the same quality product, and the same 10-day lead time wherever you are in the country. Steve and the team work with our manufacturer to keep prices 30–50% below what you’d pay at Howdens — with no trade account required.
Are rigid kitchen units suitable for the terraced houses across the Potteries?
They are ideal. The terraced houses in Burslem, Hanley, Longton, and Tunstall often have compact kitchens where standard-size cabinets do not fit properly. Our rigid units are made to order, so we can build to the exact millimetre — perfect for narrow galley kitchens and the non-standard layouts common in these properties.
How long does delivery take to Stoke-on-Trent?
We deliver to Stoke-on-Trent in as little as 10 working days from order confirmation. Stoke is around 1 hour 15 minutes from our Oldham base via the M6, making it one of our quickest Midlands delivery areas.
Can I visit your showroom from Stoke-on-Trent?
Yes — our showroom at Unit N, Central Trading Estate, Coulton Close, Oldham, OL1 4EB is around 1 hour 15 minutes from Stoke via the M6. You can see our door samples, inspect the 18mm carcass construction, and discuss your project with Steve.
What kitchen styles suit the Victorian properties in Newcastle-under-Lyme?
Newcastle-under-Lyme’s Victorian terraces and townhouses suit shaker painted kitchens in heritage colours — soft greys, warm creams, and muted blues are popular choices. The period proportions of these properties allow for generous cabinet layouts with premium touches like dovetail solid oak drawer boxes.
Do you supply rigid units for new-build developments around Stoke?
Yes. We work with developers across Staffordshire, supplying rigid units for new-build housing projects. Our made-to-order approach, competitive pricing, and reliable 10 working day lead time make us a practical supplier for developments of all sizes.
